Harvard Happiness Study Reveals 5 Secrets to a Long, Happy Life
as a single woman of 61, I need some guidance. I never had a man or partner to help with any of this stuff. While I am debt free, I have no savings.. and it's scary.
oh yes, I agree.
Props to *Adriannotch* for working with you on this. All companies should do this type of thing since the governments won't do anything about it.
I am in my early 60s and retired at 53. Lots of people gave me pushback because they had difficulty grasping the concept of not working if you don’t have to. I looked at my life as stages. I earned everything I have now through a lot of hard work, but I owe it to myself to “stop and smell the roses” in my final stage of life. In my case I left the country after I retired and live in Latin America. It allowed me to get away from all the negative things happening in America while appreciating my new environment. I have yet to meet anyone who regrets retirement.
Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than a million dollars by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. Finding financial advisors like Layan Talia Chokr who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
What is this garbage? Boomers, the most entitled, arrogant, selfish generation, advocating for new ways to steal from future generations. May God forgive you for the deep, sinful and abhorrent actions you have taken.
This man has never heard of a court ordered wage garnishment.
He's talking about fixed income, like SS.
@@Lynwood_Jackson If the money is owed to the government your SS can sometimes be garnished.
He’s talking about social security!
Cant garnish old age pensions.
Pension Protection Act is a real thing. Judges always violate the law but i get what you are saying.
Follow up.....if i wait til i retire is it easier to shirk past debt?
I'm 64 1/2 am I considered a senior in your example?
I have a question. What if the person has already passed away. But what if you spend the money before you reported it? What could happen
Thank you, Jeff for sharing that information!! I retired early, on disability!! I had to use my retirement money waiting on disability!! I only have disability income to live on!! I am single and have no kids!!
God bless you ❤
I need to talk to this gentleman. I have had identity theft and the person ran up some new debts those creditors are putting me in collections even though I'm calling them and telling them no its not me .I can prove who I am. Proving I didn't do it is the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with.
For the love of God, do not get a direct express card. The customer service is -4 stars do not listen to this guy. He obviously doesn’t have a direct express card because there’s no way he would endorse this product if he actually went through half of the crap that this company puts its customers through.
I’ll be there at the age of 70 so why I wanna wait all the way onto 70
Like to heard you
I was scammed & reported to IC3, FTC, and Attorney Generals Office & I received no help… nearly everything I had. Not much faith In our systems! 😢
How do I get in touch with helps? Thank you, nita kylene Dowdy
An important point about attorney fees: Lawyers who do this do not take a cut of the consumer's recovery. These are fee-shifting cases. The defendant must pay the attorney fees on top of whatever damages are recovered on behalf of the consumer. This is very different from typical car accident cases where an attorney gets 1/3 of your recovery. However it is similar in that most attorneys will agree to represent the consumer without taking any payment up front.
But the federal government can give billions of free money to Ukraine.
What annual income qualifies a senior as "low income"?
Excellent job by the attorney and the interviewer. Wish I’d known about this law group long ago. Would loved to have worked with them. Have had a few senior collection cases over the years and while resolved satisfactorily, I now realize I could probably have done better.
I put off health care to keep my money.
Yea it knocks you on your arse. Does couse excessive cheeta consumption
I'm a 64 year old man disabled receiving SSI. I'm currently living alone renting. What do I need to get Prepared for assisted living or over 55 communities are there programs to assist. My credit poor
Where can I write to to ask a question on a future problem? Thank You
It's is a HORRIBLE disservice to people to stop the video there!! The whole point of the interview is that HELPS works with Seniors to no longer worry about the fact that they might get a judgement!! BECAUSE SENIORS ARE basically JUDGEMENT PROOF. Horrible Horrible Horrible to cut the video there!
Because you need to go to their website and register so they can talk about your situation and let you know if your particular retirement is protected. Plus you need a letter from a lawyer to stop the harassment. If you do this on your own, do you know enough to know if they are lying to you! Probably not since you trying to get your info from a video short!
Totally agree!!
None of what matters can be seized, your home, car assets, it is all protected after you turn 65. So don't worry about it even when a court says you owe it, there is really nothing they can do to force you to pay it !
Is worth noting that only covers things that are vital, nothing classified as a luxury. So they can take any jewellery (including your wedding rings & family heirlooms), luxury vehicles (provided you have a second vehicle), second homes, RV's, savings above a set amount (your never going on holiday again basically) and they will put a lien on your home if you own it. Basically you'll be left living with minimal standards and you will be passing on no inheritance. Admittedly them getting an order for this is highly difficult and you can stop them by agreeing to basically pay $1 a month for the rest of your life and settle any outstanding debts out of your estate (most courts will accept these terms).
I live in Pa. Is there a protection thru disability !?
No walk death
This woman did not really give any information but selling her agency,
There are international crime groups that are scamming Americans. The infamous ones are Nigerian and Chinese. Do NOT communicate with strangers that you have never met through Facebook, WhatsApp, LinkedIn ……. etc. I was scammed out of a lot of money that it’s affecting my retirement income.
G😊
Yes, T-Mobile is the way to go with seniors. My husband and I have T- Mobile for years. When we travel to Canada and Mexico they work too. We never have problems with them. At home, our phone automatically switch to WiFi, so never have issues with clear connections.
All i know is I had one stent Implanted 5/15/15 and the bill was over $200k. I have Aetna and I out of pocket cost was about $1000. Aetna Medicare Advantage. Monthly premium-0-.😊
Unless you are put in a nursing home. Then they take it from you. AND unless you choose to have ‘ in home’ care instead of going to a nursing home. Then they take it from you.
An unfortunate scam is the one done by the elderlys' own family. That one family member who "borrows" money from their elderly relative.
Unless you go to prison, then they take your benefits away.
So true,,your good people ,,thanks for all ur info ❤ peace
Your a good guy ,thanks buddy ❤
I got one too. I asked my son if this was a scam or not.
Yeah this whole Medicare system sucks. You work all your life to have something only to find out you really need to get rid of it all or lose the only thing the majority of us only have. Were insurance poor you pay monthly Medicare, monthly insurance, as well as copays and deductibles and still get a bill there’s something wrong
Be careful with Medicaid with a home in your name
We could also just... not spend money that we dont have with the intention of not paying it back. Because that's theft.
The parasites put a lien on my house. The lawsuit for unsecured credit card debt "bought" by a 3rd party collection company.
Often this won't be a problem. You can always contact HELPS and go over your situation. Eric HELPS
Something not right that point
Kool😊😊
There's this one guy I know, he's got an important job (still working) and I swear they just run him all over using him for his influence, his position really. Guy's lost most of the time. Feel really sorry for him.
